Martin Luther Blackbird (ca. 1450-1520)

Martin was born in Ireland (probably what is now Armagh, Northern Ireland) in about 1450, though there are those who show him as being born in Scotland. Currently he is the most distant known Blackburn ancestor that I have found. His spouse is unknown. I have done very little research into Martin and have no documentation on him. Much more needs to be done.

Armagh is now a part of Northern Ireland and is shown in red.

It appears the name change from Blackbird to Blackburn occured with Dorian Leo Blackburn around 1595.

Martin Luther Blackbird is my 17th great grandfather through my mother.
