Zachariah⁷¹³⁸ Benjamin Blackburn (1761-1843)

Zachariah⁷¹³⁸ Benjamin Blackburn is my maternal 5th great grandfather. His name is seen as Zachariah Benjamin Blackburn or Benjamin Blackburn. There are some who state all official documents show him as Benjamin Blackburn and have removed the name Zachariah; however, family documents in Pendleton County, Kentucky state his name as Zachariah⁷¹³⁸ Benjmain Blackburn. Specifically his grandson calls him as such.

There are many who mistakingly name his father as William Blackburn (who died at the Revolutionary War Battle of Kings Mountain). Zachariah by all accounts was born in Scotland. This William's ancestors have been traced back to Ireland to the 1400's with no apprent connection to Scotland at least up until then. Currently Zachariah's parents are unknown.
